Jill has worked as a consultant for Co-operative Foods and Membership, contributing to many successful projects during that time.
Food demonstrations, recipe creation and assisting during events signals only some of the work Jill has provided Co-operative Food. Her successful campaigns with them has allowed her to show off her skills alongside a well-known brand.
One of the most fulfilling projects was the delivery of a touring cookery demonstration project, focusing on food waste.
The project covered the whole of the UK, from John O’Groats to Plymouth. Jill used her skills as a recipe developer, home economist and presenter to deliver the project.
What Jill did:
Jill initially developed a series of recipes for the tour. The recipes had to address the issue of food waste within households by sharing relevant advice. To do this, Jill shared information on menu planning, stock rotation and demonstrated the importance of food labelling and storage. Moreover, Jill’s recipes provided advice on how to use a freezer efficiently and how to create effective shopping lists. These tips ultimately aimed to help reduce food waste in households.
During the Co-operative Food events, Jill demonstrated the recipes using her trademark friendly and motivational style. This approach helped people to make the most of the food they buy, save time and money, as well as help the environment.
Following on from this, Jill worked with Co-operative Food on ‘Watch Your Christmas Waste’. She produced a recipe pack of Christmas recipes using leftovers such as turkey, cranberries and Christmas pudding.
Jill continues to work with Co-operative Food on in-store cooking demonstrations. This on-going partnership allows Jill to show her expertise and proves to be a successful collaboration.
